Your Roles & Responsibilities:
We are seeking a Staff Software Engineer to join our team focused on building Genesys Designer, the next generation of application development environment for Genesys MultiCloud. You will help design, develop, deploy and manage the Designer service on Azure, AWS and GCP following SRE and secure development best practices. This team is responsible for delivering state-of-the-art user-friendly software used by some of the largest fortune 500 companies while ensuring the highest levels of performance, scalability, security and observability.
Who you are:
You are experienced in software design, development, dev testing, and prototyping. You understand how distributed teams collaborate and you can effectively interface with teams in different time zones. You have used agile development principles and best practices, and are comfortable with source control workflows. You have experience with relatively complex data models and come up with elegant design solutions on how to enhance them for new functionality while maintaining backward compatibility. You realize the importance of participating a collaborative environment, where diversity and difference in opinion are valued and customer experience takes center stage. You have strong and effective communication skills, analytical skills, and enjoy bringing clarity to complex technical challenges to help the product forward..
Required Technical and Professional Expertise:
3+ years development experience in Node.js, React, Angular, Bootstrap, Spring boot
2 years experience with your containerized software running on AWS, Azure, GCP or another cloud , Helm, Terraform
Experience with Docker and Kubernetes
2 years of using Agile/jira software methodologies
Preferred Technical and Professional Expertise:
Prior experience in integrating with or using Voicebots/chatbots – Google DialogFlow CX/ES, Amazon Lex, IBM Watson or similar NLU/NLP bots
Experience in helping foster a culture of continuous engineering improvement through active participation, feedback, and promoting best practices
Experience in using and managing PostgreSQL or similar DB running on cloud
Demonstrated leadership in designing user-friendly user interfaces for complex use cases e.g. workflow design
Experience in working with Open Source technologies
