CIB – Securities Services – Extended Enterprise – Instruments and Pricing Associate – Bangalore

The Securities Services Extended Enterprise Product Development Team is responsible for defining the product roadmap and managing execution and delivery of the integrated operating model, a solution to connect more directly with Securities Services clients and vendor applications. This position is responsible for end-to-end program delivery including holistic governance, tracking, requirements, testing, implementation and scaling across clients for Extended Enterprise and overall Securities Services initiatives. This person will have substantial knowledge of Instruments and Pricing Reference Data. They will be a data expert and interact with internal partners across front office, technology and operations on all facets of a program, including stakeholder management, training and expanding the Extended Enterprise brand. They will present to the various stakeholders the specifics of how the various Instruments and Pricing aspects will work with the integrated operating model, identify key opportunities, build relationships and deliver solutions for Extended Enterprise and Securities Services as a whole.

Key Responsibilities:

Commercial Product Development for Extended Enterprise and Securities Services as a whole focussing on use of strategic Instrument and Pricing Data by the various applications as well as work with the centralized Reference Data teams to make sure the data supplied by them is fit for purpose for use by Securities Services. End to end ownership and delivery is a key
Partner across the POTL (Product Development, Operations, Technology Leads) to drive the various initiatives and deliver results
Leadership: Exhibit leadership qualities to drive progress, ensuring coordination and smooth execution
Apply critical thinking to understand requirements; identify, evaluate and propose appropriate solutions
Operational readiness: Understand current state and future state flows for adoption of strategic Instruments and Pricing data and provide support required for defining on-boarding model including migration planning and execution as needed
Enthusiasm & Influence: Drive and influence change within an Operations and Technology environment
Organization & Planning: Track and monitor multiple deliverables and give clarity and direction to all stakeholders
Controls: Ensure appropriate adherence to Risk and Control policy and put appropriate risk mitigation in place
Communication Skills: Adapt communication style according to audience and occasion while being clear and unambiguous in conveying the message. Ability to influence and manage stake holders is a key
Proven verbal and written skills for updates as required to senior management including overall governance (milestone tracking and reporting, monthly and quarterly achievements) and call reports
Product Inquiries: Assist with the resolution of stake holder inquiries and production support issues pertaining to Instruments and Pricing
Diligent Tracking and Governance of short, medium and long term programs with ability to dynamically reprioritize as required by the business

Required Qualifications and Characteristics:

5+ years of experience in the Financial Services industry either with a market data vendor providing Instruments Reference Data or in a back office or middle office operations environment dealing with Instruments and Pricing Reference Data
Subject Matter Expert: A deep understanding of Listed and Unlisted Instruments and Pricing Reference Data is key
Experience with Instruments and Pricing Reference Data in the context of Traditional Fund Services, Custody or Agency Lending operations is highly desirable, as is an ability to display sound understanding of the lifecycle across various asset classes as it pertains to Corporate Actions and Reconciliations
Experience and knowledge of industry standards to drive strategic vision for Extended Enterprise and Securities Services
Experience with system and process design, target operating models, including use of Visio skills
A problem solver with the ability to see the big picture across lines of business as well as being able to understand the details for the purpose of laying out the strategy and resolving issues as and when required
Strong track record of project delivery and good project discipline
Program or project certification, or equivalent work experience
Excellent written and oral communication, clarity of thought and the ability to express oneself clearly both to internal and external stakeholders
Drive and determination: leading, influencing and driving multiple programs to meet overall Extended Enterprise project objectives
Strong analytical, quantitative and qualitative skills; exceptional Excel, PowerPoint and SharePoint/SharePoint Designer
Proven good judgment, particularly with prioritizing your own workload – including managing multiple deliveries simultaneously
Self-motivated, quick learner, comfortable with responsibility
Strong at building relationships across teams
Ability to multi-task, dynamically prioritize workloads, and manage multiple streams of work concurrently
