Your Role
Gensler’s Northwest region is seeking a seasoned hospitality Designer with an emphasis in both hotels, and F&B experience at our San Francisco headquarters. You will join a highly creative, collaborative design team that works on a diverse body of work in the Hospitality realm. We partner with owners, developers, investors, operators, and brands to deliver distinctive, thought-provoking, and emotional connections to hotels, resorts, spas, restaurants, bars, entertainment, fitness, and gaming environments.

What You Will Do
Lead design projects as project teams in programming client needs, conceptual design, schematic design, and design development
Generate compelling conceptual design
Resolve complex technical and design issues
Guide and mentor junior staff
Managing and guide client expectations, team communication, and consultant coordination
Work with consultants, contractors, fabricators, specification writers, and regulatory agencies to meet overall project objectives
Provide project team coordination for the finished plans, specifications, and material selections required for construction
Participate in the construction administration of projects and review of submittals and finish samples
Contribute to office activities, initiatives, and learning programs
Your Qualifications
10 + years of related architecture and design experience with a strong background designing multiple building typologies of varying scale, with recent Hospitality experience
Bachelor’s degree in Architecture
Hospitality industry experience required, specifically experience in the design of guest rooms
Flexibility to focus on a variety of project types or multiple projects in various stages of development
Strong leadership, communication and relationship management skills
Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
Outstanding graphic presentation skills
Revit skills are highly valued
High taste level, excellent color sense, and great passion for hospitality design
Passionate, self-starting, intelligent, dedicated, efficient
Enjoys both taking responsibility and team collaboration
Detailed understanding of FF&E design and deliverables
Passion for both the big picture design ideas and the details
Familiar with hospitality-related ADA compliance and building codes
Proficient in AutoCAD, SketchUp, Photoshop, InDesign, Illustrator, Revit and Bluebeam are a plus
