Position: IT Technical Lead / Project Manager Location: Indiranagar, BangaloreSalary: Commensurate with skills & experienceExperience Required: 8+ YearsTravel Requirements: Occasional travel may be required to schools / areas where CWC works / meet partners and stakeholders.Roles & Responsibilities: CWC is in the process of developing a technology platform specifically designed for government school teachers to transform their classroom teaching practices. The platform will have a mobile, web and offline components. The platform is expected to be Rural India ready in its final form and will be capable of delivering a wide variety of rich digital education content and administrative features to government schools in an omni channel mode.This is a role for thought leaders working at the intersection of technology and education space with a proven track record of successfully leading technology teams. This role will be responsible for developing and evolving the omni-channel content delivery platform that CWC has. The role is expected to advise the senior management of the organization on various technology related issues including developing the roadmap and strategy, managing partnerships and integrating the CWC platform with various other large education content platforms in India.1) Follow rigorous project management practices to work closely with technology vendor partners to develop and test the product features to ensure it’s in line with the organizational and end user requirements.2) Work with external as well as in-house designers, field team in running field studies to come up with user requirements, develop the UX/UI and validate the designs.3) Identify the right technological solutions and optimal technology stack fitment for adding new product features.4) Manage technology vendor relationship to ensure products and services are delivered on time.5) Evolve a strategy in collaboration with the content team and the management to integrate the CWC platform with other platforms like National Teachers Platform, Ekstep Genie, Kolibri etc.6) Develop deep data analytics layer in the platform with easy to understand reporting dashboards7) Configure, Optimize and maintain the AWS server for the platform.8) Any other items or duties as assigned. We have an “Everyone does everything” start-up work culture in CWC.Skills Required1) Solid working knowledge of AWS, node, php and Database technologies like Mysql, Mongodb etc and analytics tools like ZOHO or Power BI.2) Solid working knowledge of Web Servers like Nginx, Jetty etc.3) Experience with development of android apps, web development4) Experience with GitHub, research for opensource technologies and integration5) In depth understanding of various LMS technologies6) Proved track record of successfully leading technology teams as a Project manager or other managerial position.7) Thorough understanding of project/program management techniques and Agile methodologies8) Excellent Knowledge of performance evaluation and change management principles9) Solid working knowledge of Backend technologies like Java, Dropwizard Framework (Restful webservice), Hibernate, Jedis as Redis, Swagger, Apache Shiro etc.10) Ability to represent the organization and its offerings at the highest levels of government and various other industry and NGO stakeholders.11) Thorough understanding of content authoring tools and authoring platforms12) Experience in product / human interface design is desirable13) Excellent communication abilitiesLeadership Team @ CWCManasi Kirloskar (Trustee and CEO, Caring with Colour)Manasi Kirloskar is the 5th generation from the industrial family, Kirloskar Group. While in US, Rajeev volunteered with an international non-profit organization called Asha for Education for 12 years where he partnered with various NGO across India to support the education of under-privileged children in rural areas and urban slums. He also served as the global President/CEO of Asha from 2012-14. After 15 years in US, Rajeev moved back to India with the intent of working in education sector. He holds a Master’s degree in Electrical engineering from Kansas State University and an MBA from IIM – Ahmedabad.
