Under the supervision of the communications director and as part of the communications team, the communications manager will develop, facilitate, and/or review clear, appropriate, concise, and engaging digital content across our external platforms (LinkedIn, Instagram, Facebook, Twitter, etc.). In this role, you will follow brand guidelines to enhance CONSOR’s brand presence, writing in one voice that may range in tone (from sophisticated and professional to warm and playful, but always appropriate) depending on the platform and audience. You will manage, prioritize, and delegate incoming comms requests as needed. You will also manage Trello (the editorial calendar), Hootsuite, and other communications tools and resources to support the implementation of the communications plan and the successful facilitation of communication campaigns.
You will also work closely with marketing, technical staff, HR, leadership, and other stakeholders to develop and implement thoughtful externally focused communications to expand and engage CONSOR audiences. In partnership with the communications director, you will manage outlined campaigns and tactics that support our communications plan and align with our department strategy.
In your role as communications manager, your responsibilities will include, but are not limited to the following:

Working closely with our comms facilitators and marketing team, maintain the editorial calendar according to shifting priorities and needs. Also oversee content development, review, and successful content posting
Research, analyze, and report on community, cultural, social, technological, and digital trends to enhance content development while ensuring proper utilization of our channels
Establish relationships/networks of industry professionals or partners on social media
Maintain a good handle on CONSOR’s social presence and brand; look for ways to better position us with our audience
Enhance and safeguard the firm’s reputation both internally and externally
Manage and create content (primarily external) that attracts top industry talent; showcases our subject matter experts (helps to establish us as thought leaders in the industry); and reinforces the firm’s purpose, mission, and values
Gather, analyze, and report research findings, stakeholder survey results, metrics, KPIs, and other relevant data to optimize content
Track engagement and SEO to optimize campaign content
Provide public and media relations council to organizational leadership
Contribute to the development of department planning and communications strategies
Orchestrate communications around various brand identities and the consolidation of those brands
And generally, manage the various comms-related tasks as directed by the communications director

Ideal Experience:

5+ years relevant social media marketing/communications experience, including 2+ years of editing and social content creation experience
10+ years working experience
Proficient in Adobe Creative Suite and Microsoft Office Suite (Teams, Outlook, etc.)
Familiarity with Trello, MailChimp, Hootsuite, content management/website experience
Expertise in public and media relations
This position can be fully remote but a willingness to travel is preferred

Extra Credit:

Experience navigating brand updates, change management, mergers & acquisitions, and integration
Familiarity with AEC is a plus
