Senior Director of Master Data Management & Services

The role will play an important part in the journey to establish data as a source of competitive advantage for the company through global analytics.
The Senior Director of MDM will lead the Master Data Management & Services (MDM &S) service line and be accountable to deliver flawless execution of the MDM activities and support the execution of the agreed outcome of the MDM Transformation at GSK (in line with the agreed strategy and operating model toolset). This role will ensure that all relevant data is owned, captured with quality on a timely basis, avoiding rework, meaning that the business operates effectively, avoiding the hidden costs of bad data. With a global remit, the role will necessitate interacting with many different markets across all GSK regions.
This role will provide YOU the opportunity to lead key activities to progress YOUR career. These responsibilities include some of the following:
Ownership and direction of the MDM & S service line, including service strategy, service design, service transition & delivery and service operations. Responsible for service line stabilization and business continuity
Budget responsibility for the MDM & S Service Line
Management of all aspects of the outsourced service provider for MDM & S (e.g. SLA, budget, resources, TAT, etc.)
Accountability for the application of the built MDM capability, which includes strategy, design, transition, delivery and operations
Provision of oversight of the MDM processes, governance and initiatives to ensure they adhere to business priorities and objectives in line with the defined enterprise data strategy
Measurement and communication of the effectiveness of MDM & S Service Line • Participation in and contribution to GSK-wide data forums
Maintenance of relationships with key stakeholders to ensure their understanding that MDM & S is aligned to business objectives and delivering the agreed value for GSK
Accountability for the MDM&S internal and external compliance and obligations
Ownership of the MDM & S pipeline for the future master data related demands, ensuring best value to the business
Championing of all the improvement opportunities related to MDM & S and reinforcement of continuous improvement, feeding into the demand management process
Driving a high-performance culture, promoting continuous learning with a focus on meeting/exceeding customer expectations
Management and ownership of MDM requirements in support of any GSK-wide business initiatives, e.g. acquisitions, mergers, divestments, etc.
Ownership of and driving the service line related I&D objectives

Proven success in leading and managing master data management and / or data management service line
Leading the development of MDM capability
Leading enterprise-level MDM transformational projects
Value acceleration and business profitability
Managing commercials related to service lines
Working in a Consumer/ Healthcare/Pharma industry gaining strong understanding of all business areas
People management and development to an advanced level
We are also looking for the following skills.
Ability to motivate, engage and communicate across all levels of the business
Proven ability to deliver operational outcomes at a regional / global level
Solid understanding of conceptual design of key MDM components and tools
Strong understanding and experience of master data compliance regulations in global organizations
Advanced level of proficiency in Project and Programme Management
Influencing and negotiation
Courage in decision making and taking accountability for both their own actions and those of the team
A can-do attitude and a strong desire to find practical solutions
Ability to build and maintain strong working relationships and networks
Understanding of the pitfalls & barriers to MDM with the proven ability to find resolutions for these
