Robert Half is currently working with a client looking for an Inventory Clerk. The Inventory Clerk will be responsible to keep track of goods and services and manage orders to facilitate sales or production. As the Inventory Clerk you will be signing off on shipments, counting the number of available products and placing orders for more inventory according to demand.
Key responsibilities
Ensure physical counts and computer records match, calling out any discrepancies
Managing items by counting and classifying
Ordering inventory from vendors and suppliers and securing shipment arrival times
Working closely with the purchasing manager and inventory analyst
Control inventory by stocking and cataloging products
Various data entry tasks
Managing document discrepancies
Obtaining estimates and price details from different vendors to compare costs
1+ years’ experience in retail and/or inventory sector is preferred
Knowledge of the range of company products and services
Mathematical and analytical skills
Excellent verbal, written, and social communication skills
High school diploma or equivalent
High attention to detail is critical, as well as problem solving skills
Must be comfortable using inventory computer programs, such as spreadsheets, to update counts and compile reports
