POSITION: Microsoft SQL Server DBA
OJCommerce Inc. is a fast-growing retailer serving the US market through OJCommerce.com and various marketplaces such as Amazon, Walmart, and eBay. OJCommerce is a privately held, profitable company headquartered in Miami, Florida, USA with a 100% dedicated back-office in Chennai. The work hours are flexible with predominantly India business hours with some overlap with US Eastern Time business hours based on need.
OJCommerce is looking for a Database Administrator to help maintain and improve the high performance, always available, scalable Database infrastructure. The DBA is expected to bring in industry best practice, with their own expertise to define the current standards, as well as the future architectures for our Database environments.
Experience: 6+ years of hands-on experience with MS SQL Server development/maintenance.
Must have technical skills: SQL Server 2016+, SSIS, SSRS, SSAS, Power Shell
Skill Sets:
Expertise in SQL server database infrastructure design and high availability best practices
Defining current and future standards for large data-sets with high uptime requirements
Hands-on with Query Optimization, Replication etc.
Create and maintain roadmap for our database infrastructure
Work closely with our Business Intelligence, Application Development and Data Analytics teams to ensure that our database architecture meets the business requirements
Designing processes and procedures for the management and maintenance of Database systems
Use appropriate tools & techniques for capacity planning and long-term growth projections
Establish robust Business Continuity Plans / Disaster Recovery Plans
Desirable Skills:
Candidates with experience in ecommerce / online retail
Should be comfortable in dealing with senior leadership (internal & external)
Communication Skills – Excellent verbal and written communication skills with ability to explain ideas very clearly.
Self–motivated and flexible, with an ability to work independently.

Ability to work in a fast–paced, dynamic environment with limited resources
Problem-solver with a desire to solve complex business problems with innovative & cost–effective solutions.
