Data Steward – APAC
POSITION PURPOSE:
Identify, develop and implement automated solutions and best practices to optimize field trialing processes for APAC Regional Market Development including digital data collection, data systems launch and support. Development of metrics and visuals offering insights to overall field trial planning, execution, and analysis.
The role will effectively network within the global MD Data Science Community and support Regional Market Development teams to drive efficient and effective field trials that provide clear tailored solution recommendations.
YOUR ROLE AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
In collaboration with Data Scientists and stakeholders, build automated solutions to simplify defined field trialing operational activities, including digital data collection, data systems launch and support, and data visualizations
Identify and assess new opportunities for data processing and reporting to further enhance product characterization and positioning
Partner closely with IT business partners to align field trialing business needs with FTS, Velocity and/or other data systems that support MD activities
Lead Velocity launch efforts for APAC MD
Actively engage Data Science colleagues within and outside MD for review of relevant joint experiments/projects and propose solutions to automate processes and reduce complexity
Provide clear and understandable validated analysis of trial results to internal customer which drive both strategic decisions, knowledge transfer, and marketing/sales support
Provide value added business recommendations and solutions based on data stewardship
best practices to accelerate product development and characterization
Ensure quality control processes are established for verification and validation of data
Partner with IT teams to ensure data stewardship best practices are followed across data systems and processes from data entry through reporting

Regional and country commercial teams
WHO YOU ARE:
M.S. degree in statistics, data science, IT, or other
quantitative discipline or agronomic field
5+ years experience utilizing data management and/or analysis
techniques
Experience with data flow (data stewardship) through multiple,
integrated systems
Drive for continuous improvements and critical thinking which
can be translated into research initiatives and reporting
outputs that deliver business value
Understanding of IT and database management and
visualization tools
Strong planning, prioritization and organizational skills
Demonstrated ability to work effectively in teams and
collaborate across functions
Demonstrated ability to interpret results effectively and clearly
communicate complex concepts and recommendations
