The Role at a Glance

We are excited to bring on a Payroll Consultant, Relationship Management to join our Retirement Planning Services Team in a work from home environment.

Background Details
The Retirement Planning Services Team will help you establish and grow your career in Workplace Solutions providing you with coaching and development to perform in this fast-paced environment.

As a Payroll Consultant, Relationship Management you will be responsible for consulting, analyzing, and delivering on complex projects representing our payroll organization to help guide current and potential customers on the set up and understanding of their complex services, complex access databases, and other technical requirements. You will serve as a payroll liaison and resource to client and internal stakeholders throughout the request for proposal process and implementation or conversion of the plan. You will also act as a resource to applicable internal/external stakeholders. This position is responsible for developing and strengthening relationships with internal and external customers, analyzing complex payroll issues, and identifying solutions and is an advocate on behalf of the customer for driving positive change.

What you’ll be doing

You will maintain knowledge on current and emerging developments/trends for assigned area(s) of responsibility, assesses the impact, and collaborates with management to incorporate new trends and developments in current and future solutions.
You will champion and enhance organizational initiatives by positively influencing and supporting change management and/or departmental/enterprise initiatives.
You will serve as a resource to team members and applicable internal/external stakeholders on more complex projects, complex services and databases related to closing new business opportunities, implementation and conversions.
You will Identify and recommend process improvements that significantly reduce workloads or improve quality.
You will develop and strengthen relationships with internal/external stakeholders through both proactive and responsive customer contacts to maintain and develop preferred status.
You will collaborate with external customers and internal teams to develop strong payroll solutions and set up through proactive and reactive customer interactions.
You will build, enhance & maintain relationships with payroll contacts at client organizations, ensuring clients’ overall service needs are satisfied.

What we’re looking for

Must-have Experience (Required)

4 Year/Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience (4 years of experience in lieu of Bachelor’s) (Minimum Required)
3 – 5+ Years of experience in relationship management that directly aligns with the specific responsibilities for this position. (Required)
Ability to communicate effectively (verbal/written)
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook)
Strong organization/project management skills
Strong analytical skills

Nice to have Experience (Preferred)

Retirement planning/product industry experience
Strong knowledge of Complex Payroll Services
Define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions, make recommendations.
Ability to work with others in a team environment.
Excellent organizational skills with the ability to prioritize workload and multi-task while maintaining strict attention to detail.
