About the Role:We are looking for a Director/Head of Content to the B2B commercial marketing team to help reach and educate our target audience of senior scientists in need of patient recruitment and sample collection for their research studies. These scientists typically work in the Early Development, Pre-clinical phases of drug discovery and need support furthering their research by having access to relevant patient populations and their biospecimens. Our new scientific content leader will define and lead the narrative and build out a library of usable assets including case studies, eBooks, white papers, emails, product sheets, videos, LinkedIn articles, website content, presentations, infographics, thought leadership communications, etc., focused on the therapeutic specialties we serve and new products under development. You will have a strong commercial background and partner with senior management to identify new areas for additional growth and development.
Responsibilities
1. Experience developing content for e-channels to include LinkedIn, Email marketing, website, and digital events/webinars/conferences. Develop all necessary product support collateral including product sheets, infographics, videos, etc. as we roll out new customer acquisition channels. Develop a content calendar and plan/stack resources against the development of relevant assets for distribution timeframes. 2. Work with Product teams to develop relevant content that matches personas interests and emphasizes Sanguine’s solution benefits. Review and analyze cutting-edge trends and research methods across therapeutic research areas (e.g. CRISPR/gene-editing); incorporate learnings into content pieces. Identify subject matter that resonates with each audience (persona) and develop content that addresses the individual needs and interests of each group. 3. Demonstrated excellence in creating content that positively influenced and impacted pipeline creation, MQL, SQL, Download and other digital goals and metrics. Identify a pool of outsourced/freelance writers who can therapeutic specialty writing/editing on an ongoing basis. Act as Commercial liaison and scientific editor for all content submissions. Partner with relevant functional leaders within the marketing department
Requirements
Advanced Science Degree – PhD a plus. 5+ years of experience writing and editing in the pharmaceutical, biotech or medical vertical as a content writer or journalist. Experience managing a team of content writers (1099 and/or full time). Experience building and managing a content calendar. Experience working with remote teams. Ability to multitask and manage multiple and competing priorities in a fast-paced, start-up environment with the ability to adapt to changing deadlines and priorities. Motivated, self-directed and able to work autonomously and in team settings to meet aggressive organizational goals. Must be willing to submit writing samples and/or portfolio of work, including: eBook, Case Study Example. You are good at recognizing, recruiting and keeping freelance talent engaged and productive. You are good at storytelling and like to drive a narrative. You are very comfortable with medical and scientific subject matter and committed to becoming a subject matter expert on translational, clinical trials and new products under development. You are an excellent writer and communicator and understand that details matter. You are good at various writing formats; long, short and product/technical. You have a leader-servant mentality.
