UVA Temps is recruiting for highly organized, detail oriented, and professional persons to fill a Temporary Faculty Assistant role on behalf of the UVA School of Law.
Job Description: The University of Virginia School of Law seeks a faculty assistant to provide administrative and clerical support for a group of approximately ten instructional faculty members. The administrative support includes: preparing and managing correspondence and letters of recommendation (print and electronic), helping prepare course materials, assisting faculty with exams and grading, coordinating expense reimbursements, purchasing supplies, collecting mail, creating seating charts, and maintaining paper and electronic files.
The position requires a candidate who functions well as part of a team, communicates well orally and in writing, has strong attention to detail, and is able to handle multiple projects simultaneously. The candidate should be able to maintain confidentiality and exhibit a professional demeanor at all times. Candidates must possess a strong working knowledge of administrative procedures. Demonstrated proficiency in Microsoft Office applications is also required.
Minimum Requirements:
A High School Diploma with at least one year of relevant administrative support experience is required.
Preferred Requirements:
A Bachelor’s Degree and/or High School Diploma with some college coursework is preferred.
Preference will be given to candidates with four or more years of administrative assistant experience.
