Summary
Work in coordination with the education coordinator to provide training needs. Ensure assigned staff receives coaching strategies to enhance teaching practices and align with the program performance goals. Track various data, analyze the data, and report outcomes to the director.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
Work in coordination with the education coordinator to observe and determine the needs of the staff.
Work in coordination with the education coordinator to provide individualized training needs at the Head Start sites.
Assist with planning and pre-service training.
Provide appropriate information on curriculum, Teaching Strategies Gold (TSG), and Child Plus.
Assist education coordinator in completing the Classroom Assessment Scoring System (CLASS) on all classrooms.
Assess assigned staff and identify their strengths, needed support and determine which staff would benefit from intensive coaching.
Assigned staff not identified for intensive coaching will receive other forms of professional development depending on their need.
Maintain regular communication with the education coordinator and coach/trainer coordinator.
Work in coordination with the education and coach/trainer coordinator to perform Head Start/Early Head Start orientation for new staff.
Enroll employees/parents for courses of study as needed or required and notify education coordinator.
Arrange and provide follow-up on annual pictures at sites.
Track and report CLASS scores to the director.
Track and analyze children’s outcomes.
Provide child outcomes’ reports at least twice a year to the director.
Provide family engagement report at least twice a year to the director.
Attendance is an essential part of this position.

Education and/or Experience
Bachelor’s Degree in Early Childhood Education or bachelor’s degree and equivalent course work in Early Childhood Education with early education teaching experience.
Certificates, Licenses, Registrations
Current Driver’s License; Proof of proper vehicle insurance coverage, and proper background screening. Maintain Classroom Assessment Scoring System (CLASS) certification.

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to talk or hear. The employee frequently is required to stand, walk, and sit. The employee is occasionally required to stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl. The employee must occasionally life and/or move up to 50 pounds.
