In this role, you will lead a team of product managers managing the device life cycle, launch and quality of features and experiences that Alexa customers in Canada will love.
Key job responsibilities
Identify innovations that will increase value for Alexa customers in Canada
Make smart trade-off across the Alexa device portfolio and build tight connections with partner teams to drive efficiencies in Canada across french and english
Develop business requirements, monitor feature development and support go to market launch activities; Communicate to leadership and build a plan for resolution of blocker issues
Own and deliver on post-launch reviews and customer feedback; Leverage data to research difficult or ambiguous CX problems and communicate recommendations to senior leadership
Set and balance goals across team to optimize performance against organizational goals and employee development; Effectively coach and give feedback to direct reports to help develop talent and support career development; Identify resource needs for team

A successful candidate will possess strong technical acumen, deep expertise in leading complex projects across multiple teams and will be able to work through others. You love to dive deep into the detail of a feature to find opportunities to improve its quality. You are comfortable with data analysis and able to dig into issues to find root-causes and identify innovative solutions. You thrive in an entrepreneurial environment, not hindered by ambiguity or competing priorities. You have excellent verbal/written communication skills and are comfortable talking to Senior Leaders and influencing partner teams. You have a strong sense of building the right things for customers and are able to drive high-level strategic initiatives, as well as roll up your sleeves, dig in and get the job done. You’re passionate about developing others and helping them grow.
About the team
The Alexa Canada team’s mission is to deliver products and services that are delightful and locally relevant for Canadian customers. We work on everything from product launches (like launching new Echo devices), to new skill partnerships (like working with external partners to make their services available through Alexa), to more consumer-focused campaigns (like what Alexa’s responses should be for Canada Day or each NHL game). The Alexa Canada team is an essential part of helping customers feel that Alexa is a trusted companion in their daily life. On the team, the Product lead contributes to raising the bar on Alexa’s product for Canadian customers.
2+ years of people management experience.
MBA or Master’s degree in a technical discipline
Demonstrated ability to lead and inspire others
French Canadian fluency
Able to thrive in ambiguous and fast changing environments
