Casualty Regional Claim Analyst – Field Job Summary
Works within significant limits and authority on highly complex casualty claim assignments requiring specialized knowledge of personal and commercial lines (including construction defect and general liability), litigation, and related processes. Evaluates coverage, investigates, analyzes, negotiates, and settles complex claims with high exposure typically requiring outside investigation while delivering quality customer service. Participates in roundtable discussions and may serve as casualty complex claims technical consultant and subject matter expert to business partners.
Westfield Casualty Claims resolves third party liability claims involving injury, property damage, construction defect, personal & advertising injury, and environmental cleanup – both pre-suit and in litigation.
Desired Qualifications/Experience/Certification/Education (in order of importance)

5 or more years of casualty claims handling experience, including commercial lines. Experience negotiating claims and handling conflict.
2 or more years of experience handling complex casualty claims (potential exposures in excess of $250,000 or specialty areas).
Experience using a claims management system e.g. Guidewire or diary management system to accurately document file activities.
Excellent written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills with the ability to interact with all levels of the company.
Ability to analyze and interpret insurance policies and other contracts. Ability to interpret applicable statutes, regulations and case law.
Excellent analytical, tracking, and monitoring skills. Ability to collect and analyze data, identify trends, establish facts, and recommend solutions.
Strong organization and facilitation skills.
Experience with Microsoft Windows, Outlook, and Excel or transferable software packages.
Holds and maintains appropriate adjuster licensing and certification(s) in assigned territories and will obtain additional licensing based upon business needs.
Valid driver’s license and a driving record that conforms to company standards.
Ability to travel, including overnight business trips as needed.
Industry recognized designation, such as CPCU, SCLA, AIC, etc.
Bachelor’s Degree or commensurate experience.

Ability to work effectively in an office environment, or remotely with limited supervision, for 40+ hours per week (including sitting, standing, and working on a computer for extended periods of time).
Ability to communicate effectively in a collaborative work environment utilizing various technologies such as: telephone, computer, web, voice, teleconferencing, e-mail, etc.
Ability to travel as required.
Ability to operate an automobile within the parameters of the driving policy.
Ability to drive for extended periods of time, under a variety of conditions, including night driving.
