position : Director, Terminal Operations
Trailer Bridge is looking for an energetic, talented, and self-motivated Director of Terminal Operations for our Jacksonville, FL terminal. In this position, you will have the opportunity to develop a successful and energetic career and be given the tools and training to “Make it Happen”. You will be responsible for managing the execution and direction of terminal operations.
Coach, mentor and motivate terminal team.
Direct and coordinate activities of terminal employees to provide cost effective, timely, quality service to internal and external customers.
Oversee day to day operations to include terminal traffic, gate operations, yard operations, and stow plans.
Develop project cost and operation solutions for cargo.
Prepare and manage budgets for CAPEX, Operations, Facilities and Equipment maintenance.
Report productivity performance.
Manage and negotiate stevedore contracted services.
Develop, implement, and govern KPI reporting for a portfolio of programs, providing visibility to the milestones, and performance across all projects.
Engage other Trailer Bridge business units to share best practices and improve end to end outcomes for Trailer Bridge customers.
Build and foster relationships with vendors and clients.
Enforce compliance of all company policies and procedures, safety rules and governmental regulations.
Review and analyze expenditure, financial and operations reports to determine requirements for increasing efficiencies and improving processes.
Supports the culture of Trailer Bridge by modeling the attributes and TB12 Core Values of a TB team member.
Travel periodically to ports of call
Other duties as assigned.
Bachelor’s degree preferred
5-7+ years of proven experience in terminal operations
Proactive approach to analyzing, diagnosing, and prescribing strategic business solutions to meet company goals
Strong oral, written communications and presentation skills
Skilled in Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint applications.
