Description :
We are seeking a Trade Analyst to work part time for Disney’s Trade Compliance System’s team. This person will be instrumental in the daily operations for Disney Cruise Line’s trade compliance work processes. We are seeking someone with passion for accuracy in data and efficiency in operations. This person will have the responsibility to learn the trade work processes and develop new tools, processes and integrations to improve these processes. This person must think critically about data and operations to identify flaws and inefficiencies and consistently improve them. Work to improve automation systems through detailed analysis of performance data to make suggestions for improvement. This role is scheduled to be a hybrid role in Orlando, Florida working 3 days a week (excluding weekends) for a total of 20 hours per week.
Responsibilities :
Prepare reports by accessing databases or by consolidating data from multiple sources.
Monitor systems and produce metrics on their performance.
Identify areas of poor performance and make suggestions on improvement.
Summarize data and provide commentary or observations based on analysis.
Utilize varied sources of data such as enterprise systems, complex spreadsheets, databases, log files, etc.
Analyze new data sources for integration into existing data models.
Assist in data extraction where required
Develop audit reports that test data integrations and ensure the quality and of integrated data.
Understand the business and how various data elements and business processes are utilized.
Work with systems users to map their process and identify points of failure that exists.
Gather, analyze, and interpret business requirements through discovery and brainstorming sessions with users.
Develop technical specifications and design documents
Basic Qualifications :
Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university in related discipline or equivalent experience and/or a minimum of 1-3 years of professional experience
Proficient in MS Office applications including strong Excel skills
Strong organizational and communication skills
Extremely proficient with Excel including advanced macro programming.
Fundamental SQL skills and experience
Preferred Qualifications:
Knowledge and experience in Trade Compliance, Customs Clearance, International Logistics and Cruise Ship operations.
Solid understanding of data capture, data mapping, and data cleansing, working closely with the Business
Experience working with Enterprise Resource Planning systems.
