JOB SUMMARY:
Responsible for the planning, execution, monitoring, and control of small to mid-size Projects tied to strategic business objectives within commercial and military market. Oversees the compliance, financial, and schedule performance of multiple Projects at one time, while leading teams through every phase of Project Management to achieve contractual commitments for all stakeholders. Will leverage support from Program Management Office to implement best practices in contracts management, estimating and budgeting, scheduling, and customer communications. Accountable for Project performance across all functions of the value stream, from contract award through final delivery and contract completion.
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:
Work with TRU Business Development Office on verifying scope, schedule, and analyzing estimates towards future business opportunities.
Serve as the Customer’s primary point of contact to TRU after Contract Award, managing various needs for key Customers in Commercial and Military Sales.
Manage deliverables associated with Aircraft Simulation such as Flight Training Devices (FTDs), Operational Flight Trainers (OFTs), Unit Training Device (UTD), Cockpit Procedural Trainer (CPT), Computer Based Trainer (CBT), Maintenance Technician and Operator Training, Technical Documentation, and Services.
Support key Supplier proposal requests and negotiations of technical requirements.
Manage completion of Sub-Contractor requirements execution and escalate performance issues to Operations and Procurement Office.
Weekly updates to Project performance measurements, pro-forma’s, and schedules, hosting monthly review with company leadership on Project status and results.
Monitor Production performance through frequent communication and performance management tools, addressing issues quickly and effectively to satisfy Project goals.
Monitor Engineering performance, providing clear guidelines from Contract to ensure needs vs. requirements are defined, and in control, working closely with Project Engineer, while supporting final configuration management changes and engineering change notices (ECN) clearance.
Management of various company Business Systems software tools used in Programs resource planning, project, and portfolio management (PPM) solutions.
Work with Customers (U.S. Department of Defense Contract Agencies) and Regulatory Authorities (FAA, EASA, etc.) as TRU’s liaison, to ensure device compliance and readiness for acceptance and/or qualification.
Engage in continuous improvement of Program Management Office (PMO) Processes and Procedures, including development of Lessons Learned and Customer Satisfaction forms.
Plan and support business travel for self and Project team to complete delivery, installation, and customer acceptance. Able to travel domestically and internationally for up to 25% a year, spending multiple weeks offsite at a time.
This role is contingent upon award of a US government contract to the Company.

EDUCATION/ EXPERIENCE:
Bachelor’s degree required in Business, Engineering, Aviation, or related field
Experience in Project Management leadership roles for professional or military organizations preferred
QUALIFICATIONS:
Knowledge of US DOD Contracting and Contract Change Management Process
Ability to build and confidently communicate presentations to large groups and/or high-ranking officials
Ability to lead, motivate, and influence Project teams without direct reporting authority
Knowledge of business tools used in Work Estimating, Cost Accounting, and Scheduling
Strong skills in the use of word and data processing techniques for performance analysis
U.S. Citizen
Eligible for USG Secret Clearance
