Summary of Duties:
The
Cougar Food Pantry Coordinator, located within the
Office of the Dean of Students, coordinates the daily operations of the Cougar Food Pantry under the supervision of the Fundamental Needs Manager. The coordinator has primary responsibility for developing, implementing, and managing the Cougar Food Pantry and Cougs Feeding Cougs initiatives for WSU Pullman students.
Required Qualifications:
Positions require a Bachelor’s degree and two (2) years of professional work experience in student services or related education/experience. A Master’s degree in a related field may substitute for one (1) year of professional work experience. Any combination of relevant education and professional experience may be substituted for the educational requirement on a year-for-year basis.
Demonstrated experience managing food pantry operations and/or food security initiatives.
Demonstrated teaching/training/facilitation experience.
Experience supervising/advising young adults and/or diverse groups.
Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
Experience with Windows/Microsoft Office applications, web-based communication, and database management.
Washington Food Handler’s certified or will seek and hold certification.
First-Aid/CPR certified or willing to seek and hold certification.
Possess or be able to obtain a valid driver’s license at the time of hire.
Preferred Qualifications:
Master’s degree.
Three years professional experience in higher education or community-based agency.
Experience with complex project logistics and facilitation.
Knowledge of community organizations, social issues, and civic engagement.
Experience in program and/or outcomes assessment.
Demonstrated ability to collaborate effectively with a wide range of campus and community partners.
