We invite you to join us at SAAS as part of our counseling team, responsible for helping to oversee mental health services at Seattle Academy. Successful candidates should possess a Master’s level mental health clinician experience level with experience working with children and/or adolescent populations. We look forward to you joining our team for the 2022-23 school year.
As a Counselor at SAAS, you will:
Meet the emotional and physical needs of a diverse student and parent body;
Maximize the quantity and quality of student school time by reducing the incident of health problems which impair or prevent learning;
Facilitate the highest degree of independent functioning possible for students we serve;
Have a student caseload;
Work with faculty, staff, and families around student mental health concerns;
Respond to acute mental health crises during the school day;
Be an integral part of a team responsible for planning, implementing, coordinating, and evaluating school suicide prevention training;
Collaborate with mental health clinicians working with our students; and
Work closely with Division Leadership and Learning Support in a holistic approach to student care.
