Position Overview: In this engaging leadership role, the Communications Manager champions Papa Murphys commitment to quality, service, integrity, and teamwork by:
Managing connection and education within the Papa Murphys support team and with our Franchise Owners in a holistic and strategic way. The Communications team makes sure the right info gets out the right way to the right people. The Communications Manager will lead the Communications function to achieve business goals and support a positive company culture. This includes defining and leading new initiatives that are specific to communications, and also developing and executing communication plans that support the entire companys strategy. This role partners with the leadership team and each internal department to make decisions on how to best serve employees and owners, and to ensure accurate information is delivered in a clear, supportive, engaging, and efficient manner.

Thoughtful, effective, and supportive training of new communications employees and new intranet content managers. Teaching new Papa Murphys employees about communications processes and impact.

Skilled and consistent in managing ongoing system communications, including intranet content, weekly newsletters to franchise owners, Town Hall meetings, and quarterly DMA/regional business meetings.
Willingness to research, implement, train on, and manage new tools/platforms to facilitate communication and sharing of information and ideas company-wide, including down to the individual store crew level
Ability to support PR efforts with marketing and operations teams, including drafting of press releases, media responses, crisis messaging, and PR opportunities
Master of the Intranet: Content manager, community manager, trainer, and design decision-maker for intranet
Foundations of your career:
Seasoned (like a good pizza!): Experience and passion for developing actionable communications plans, leading team members, and managing crisis and strategic messaging. Demonstrated ability partnering with executives and department heads on critical messages, confidence sharing opinions and suggesting improvements, and writing and editing content for large internal and external audiences
Youre a big-picture visionary: Demonstrated passion for taking a step back to think critically and creatively, from the ways your daily work fits into the strategy to the ways the communications team can continue to expand our reach in the company and the world!
You know your stuff + technical aptitude: Experience managing technical tools/platforms for delivering timely communications, experience with project management, and experience working knowledge of design and video editing software is a plus!
Bonus points! Experience with a franchised organization will help you navigate this role
