POSITION SUMMARY:
The Tile & Stone Installer assists and works with the Tile & Stone Foreman on high-end luxury tile projects. This position is responsible for delivering high-quality finish tile work to our interior and exterior construction projects.
This is a full time, hourly position. Work days are Monday through Friday 7:30am to 4:00pm.
EXAMPLES OF DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
· Assist the Tile & Stone Foreman with all high-end luxury tile projects.
· Interior / Exterior tile setting.
Cutting and shaping tiles to size.
Cleaning and leveling the surface area.
Applying tiling cement and arranging tiles or marble according to design plans.
Applying tiling grout.
Cleaning off excess grout
· Ensure that all safety measures are taken and adhered to on the construction sites.
· Job site cleanup, maintenance and organization.
QUALIFICATIONS/REQUIREMENTS:
High school diploma or GED.
Previous experience as a tile and marble setter, minimum three (3) years experience needed.
Good communication skills.
Basic carpentry skills.
Advanced mathematical skills.
Ability to operate hand and machine cutting tools.
Knowledge of tiling designs and installation techniques.
Ability to work crouching or kneeling for long periods.
Good problem-solving skills.
Able to perform physically demanding work including lifting 60+lbs.
